I'm currently on a quest to find a good moisturizing DC for a reasonable price. Right now I'm currently using Mizani Moisturfuse. Although I love this product it's about $14 plus tax for a ??? oz bottle. While I can still fit the Mizani into my budget I want to see if I can find something that is a little cheaper. Maybe this isn't a good idea. You know the saying, "don't try to fix it if it aint broke"? Well I'm trying to fix what is not broke. This is a HHJ so what's a journey without some trial and error? I will try 3 DCs before I go back to Mizani Moisturefuse:
1. Neutrogena Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner
2. Creme of Nature Argon Oil Intensive Oil Treatment
2. Creme of Nature Argon Oil Intensive Oil Treatment
3. Some other Deep Conditioning Mask (Not sure of a brand yet)
I will probably try the conditioners in this order. I already purchased the Neutrogena Triple Moisture and will be using it this weekend. I may try the DC for a month before deciding to keep them or give them the boot! I will be reviewing each product at the end of the month right here on my blog. I may even try mixing my own DC if I don't find something that I absolutely love.
What are your staple moisturizing deep conditioners?
I tried the ORS Replenishing Pak for the first time last night and I really really liked it! From the moment I applied it to my hair, I knew I was going to like it and I sure did. The wet tangles went away & my hair felt so soft.
ReplyDeleteI love that one as well. I use it as a light protein even though it also has moisturizing qualities. It's my staple light protein DC.
DeleteGood luck with your experimenting. I have done so much experimenting that 2 years after not buying any products I still have a salon-worthy stash. I haven't heard of the Argan Oil dc so I look forward to your reviews. Hope you like the NTM Daily DC. Either way, I look forward to your reviews and if you don't like it...you know who to send it to! LOL...
ReplyDeleteI've heard nothing but great things about the Argon Oil line. I really want to try the shampoo but can't find it in my area. But I will keep u in mind if I don't like the dc.
DeleteI tried NTM a couple times last mth and my hair was not having it. Ended up purchasing Nexxus humectress and I love it so far. Good luck on your quest!
ReplyDeleteKerapro is my current DC, as you probably know. But I hear great things about Silicon Mix which is very cheap. Another fave of mine is the Aussie 3 Minute Deep Moisture which costs about $3! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI have heard about the Aussie 3 minute deep moisture. I may put that on a list to try.
DeleteSome people like NTM and some don't: they say it's mostly silicones and doesn't really condition. I've tried several deep conditioners including silk elements mega cholesterol but I keep coming back to Kenra moisturizing conditioner. As for a light protein, I agree with EbonyCPrincess: Kerapro is pretty great. I also hear good things about Queen Helene cholesterol.
ReplyDeleteI use the Queen Helene as well and it's decent. I'm not wowed by it. I wish it had a better decent and didn't leave my hair so oily.
